It's raining here, finally. Day after we cleaned up the yard and gardens and put away the patio stuff we never sat on. Seriously. We never sat at our patio table all summer long. What a shame, but I blame the mosquitoes (who by the way are STILL around). What is their function in our world anyhow? I suppose I could google it but I'd rather hear it from one of you? Are mosquitoes making our planet a better place by being here or are they in cahoots with all of the companies that sell product to kill or keep them away from us? Which makes no sense at all. I don't understand their purpose.

The kayak racks are off my car now so I'll have to figure out another way to locate my car in crowded parking lots. Black and brown caterpillars are doing their daredevil, life threatening road crossings along with the frogs and the turtles. I've tried to avoid pancaking any of them but the leaves trick me. Suffice it to say my tires have confused leaves with caterpillars and frogs a number of times. Sorry Mother Nature! All that the turtles you may still see sauntering across the road want is to get to their winter homes. Please be on the watch for them.

Oh, for heavens sakes! I forgot to mention that the printer has SHIPPED me my calendars! I should be getting them next week some time. Woohoo Mountain Dew! So, those of you have pre-paid start checking your mailboxes before or just after halloween!
I've also booked a table at a Christmas Sale going on here in our cute little town of Tweed. It's on Saturday, December 2nd and coincides with the Festival of Trees. I will post details/poster soon. For that sale I will be bringing along a bunch of my images on canvas and the calendars, just in time for shopping for that big day that happens on the 25th of the last month of the year. You know which holiday that is of which I speak. It's not even halloween yet.....I have barely posted fall shots for crying out loud. Let's slow the bus down and take our time now shall we?

I've got some funky backdrops coming in for doing some mini photo sessions. Please pray they look like their online photos and are of quality material like they said online. If they're decent I will be setting up a few mini sessions up in the barn. I decided to try a backdrop instead of making my own this year due to the fact that the squirrels and mice ate a lot of my seasonal decor I had stored in the barn. Jerks.

This time of year is somewhat boring when it comes to work and household responsibilities. Photo road trips are few and far between whilst I do adulting lol. In fact, I've found a super sweet looking desk online I'm going to look at with Paul this Saturday and I'm finally, hopefully graduating from the kitchen table office to an upstairs room (the bedroom lol). If I get it, I'll post a photo of it because it's sweet (and heavy too according to the ad).

Order my 2024 calendar, it's $35cdn shipped to you. Send your e-transfer & address to heathercards@hotmail.com. $5 from every calendar sold goes to a local charity. Next week I'll give details on what they do there/what we're supporting.

I better shut up and go do some work. Have a good weekend and stay safe.

Peace, love and kumbaya,
Heather
