Better late than never eh? Some days you get up and hit the ground running, thus the "photo" for this week's blog (which I scammed off the web, is not mine but speaks to me today).
"Feeling poorly" is the household theme this past week. Somehow I got off easy and sadly my poor hubby drew the "short straw". He's convalescing and I'm taking advantage of working with some old friends in the tech biz at Smashing Pixels Inc to breathe some new life into my website. It's been neglected so they're helping me de-clutter and stage my site so that y'all can go and check it out (not now though, it's a mess) but soon. I'm trying to make things easy-peasy for you to go visit, hang out and look at my images, perhaps buy some, book me, read my blog etc. The days of stacks of past editions of Reader's Digest on the back of the toilet sort of atmosphere on my site will be kicked to the curb and instead it will be more like a flat screen tv and a single easy to use remote if that makes ANY sense at all. It's kind of cool actually to stop and take the time to scroll through oooo at least 7 or 8 external hard drives of my images over the years to see how far I've come in the photo world. It's given me a few ideas on how to sort of re-introduce you to some of the shots, places, events I've been to over the past almost TWELVE years of putting out #ChickPicotheDay....that's coming up VERY shortly so I will be touching base with you on that in just a few short days. I have tasked myself with how I should celebrate that day and what kind of shot I should post. Last minute me has to figure it out.....any suggestions? I'm always open for them. You have to get back to me before Monday. Monday? MONDAY like in 3 days, geesh I'm SUCH a procrastinator. OK, I seriously gotta go, I've been tasked with obtaining banana popsicles and the resident fur goddess is in need of some fresh catnip for the weekend. See how easily I get distracted? I also have to get off my duff and get some new inventory for y'all...it's gotta be festive as it's almost December now (even though it's felt like it since October).
Peace, love and kumbaya,
Heather
